Privacy Policy

Effective June 22, 2026

Trip Jury (“Trip Jury,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Land Far Away, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you create a trip, we collect your name and email address, the trip’s name, description, date window, and (once chosen) destination, and the names and email addresses of the people you invite. When you respond to an invitation, we collect your confirmed name and email, your trip preferences (such as vibe, length, distance, and activities), and the dates you mark as available.

Login information. To sign in, you provide your email address so we can send a one-time login code.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may collect limited technical data (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs for security and to operate the Service.

Cookies. We use a single, essential cookie to keep you signed in after you enter a login code. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use information

How information is shared

Within your trip. Your responses and availability are visible to the trip’s host and are shown in aggregate to other members of the same trip as part of the group summary. Hosts can see who has and hasn’t responded.

Service providers. We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf to run the Service, including hosting (Vercel), database hosting (Neon), and email delivery (Resend). They are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

Emails and your choices

Invitations and reminders are sent because a host added your email to a trip. Reminder emails stop once you respond and after a set number of messages. You can ask us to stop emailing you or to remove you from a trip at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Data retention

We keep information while a trip is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. You can request that we delete your information by contacting us.

Your rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor those rights as required.

Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where information is processed

The Service is operated in the United States, and your information may be processed there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
